Pride of Place at Plaque Unveiling 🦇

Monday 14th of September 2026 was a lovely example of the amazing community spirit, that lives in Swindon!

Three Bats, Derek, Michelle, and Maisy were invited to the unveiling of a plaque for the Pride of Swindon recipients at the central library in Swindon today.

It was truly remarkable hearing about all the amazing work that people were doing for the community of Swindon, and celebrating everybody’s achievements.

The mayor of Swindon, Councillor Neil Hopkins was there to unveil the plaque and was more than happy to have a chat and get a photo with the Bats representatives.

Swindon Bats take on Kew Gardens! 🌿

Tuesday 25th of August 2026 was another wonderful day for a group of 14 Bats. The group took a journey to London to the wonderful and sensory Kew Gardens. Where they were able to take in the sounds, sites and smells of all the different botanical wonders.

A very special shout out to the wonderful driver, Neil, who went above and beyond to look after and make the group laugh the whole day. He really was a credit to Barnes Coaches. It just makes the whole experience so much better to know that we can travel with ease.
